Jaguar Land Rover is planning to make the most of the low ebb in the Chinese market by improving its overall competitiveness and thus preparing itself for more sustainable development in the country, according to senior executives at the British premium carmaker.
The carmaker started its China operations in 2010 and was among one of the fastest-growing premium brands before the automotive market started to slow down in the country.
"We have achieved a lot in the past years but our high-speed development has also concealed some problems as well, including the fact that the fundamental work is not solid enough," said Pan Qing, a board member of Jaguar Land Rover and executive director of Jaguar Land Rover China.
