3D printing can rebuild disfigured remains of dead

China Daily | Updated: 2019-04-09 08:09

A 3D printer was running next to a display cabinet filled with imitation body parts at a funeral parlor in Guangzhou, Guangdong province.

The city's funeral service center wants to introduce the new technology to help restore the appearance of deceased people whose features were disfigured in a violent event.

"We want the deceased to leave the world with dignity," said Yu Jiaqi, an embalming expert at the funeral parlor.
