Brussels statue no longer wasting water

China Daily | Updated: 2019-04-08 07:14

BRUSSELS - Brussels' famous landmark, the Manneken-Pis, is an insouciant celebration of going with the flow - but even carefree little boys can go too far.

City authorities recently discovered that a fault in the fountain overseen by the 400-year-old bronze statue was causing 2.5 metric tons of water a day to be peed away.

In 2019, such waste is an environmental no-no.
