DPRK, US 'willing to continue dialogue'

President Moon Jae-in said on Monday that the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the United States have shown their determination to continue dialogue for peace and denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula. Addressing a regular meeting with his senior aides, Moon said it was clear that the ROK, the DPRK and the US all did not want to go back to the past, although a temporary difficulty was created in the peninsula's peace process with the failure to reach an agreement during the second DPRK-US summit. He noted that both the DPRK and the US showed their determination to continue dialogue by managing situations stably so as not to increase tensions as seen in the past.
