Final touches being put on park for int'l horticulture exhibition

Thousands of workers are bustling to finish preparing pavilions and gardens for the International Horticultural Exhibition 2019 in Beijing, as fewer than 30 days remain until the opening.
Covering 503 hectares, the expo park is located at the foot of the Great Wall in Beijing's northwestern Yanqing district. Opening on April 29, the 162-day expo will display the latest achievements in floriculture and fruit as well as vegetable farming worldwide.
More than 110 countries and international organizations have confirmed their participation in the event, as well as more than 120 unofficial exhibitors. Exhibition curators said 41 outdoor parks will be open to the public, including 34 independent ones and seven joint gardens.
