Wang weighs in on big challenge

China Daily | Updated: 2019-04-02 07:26

After setting a pair of Asian records in a span of three weeks, Chinese teenager Wang Jianjiahe said on Saturday her biggest challenge still awaits - growing pains.

At 5-foot-10(182 cm) the 16-year-old, who will turn 17 in July, has had to adjust to weight fluctuations over the past two years.

"I'm the type of person who gets fat easily. Unlike others who lose weight during competition, I have gained some recently," Wang said after winning the 400, 800 and 1500m freestyle crowns at the national swimming championships.
