China firmly supports UN peacekeeping initiatives

China will continue to work with the United Nations and member countries to further improve UN peacekeeping and to honor its commitment to multilateralism and world peace, the Chinese UN envoy said on Thursday.

Ma Zhaoxu, China's permanent representative to the UN, made the remark at the Triangular Formula Meeting on Training, Capacity Building, Safety and Security, and Performance of UN Peacekeeping at the UN's headquarters in New York.

The meeting was initiated by the Permanent Mission of Indonesia and co-hosted by China.
