La Liga president Javier Tebas has heaped praise on Wu Lei's instant impact at Espanyol and believes the striker's arrival in Spain has paved the way for other Chinese players to follow in his footsteps soon.

Wu became the first Chinese to sign for a Spanish top-flight club on a permanent basis in late January, when Espanyol was just four points above the relegation zone.
