Iran will build 200,000 housing units in Syria, a construction association official was quoted as saying by Tasnim news agency on Sunday. Iran and Syria have recently signed agreements on civil construction, tourism and agriculture industry projects, the deputy chief of the mass construction association of Teheran province, Iraj Rahbar, said. According to the plans, Iran will build 200,000 residential houses in Syria in the form of multifamily residential complexes, mainly in the capital Damascus, he said. Rahbar said that Syrian authorities have perceived Iran as a reliable partner.
