State tobacco official under investigation

Zhao Hongshun, deputy chief of the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration, is being investigated for suspected serious violations of Party disciplinary rules and laws, the top anti-graft agency said on Saturday. Zhao, also a member of the leading Party members' group of the administration, is being investigated by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission, according to the CCDI. Zhao has been serving at various levels of China's tobacco administration for about 30 years.
