China, Japan plan security dialogue

China and Japan will hold the 16th bilateral security dialogue and the 28th regular diplomatic consultations on Friday in Beijing, Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang announced on Thursday. Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Kong Xuanyou will co-chair the meetings with visiting Japanese Senior Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Takeo Mori, Geng said. The two sides will exchange in-depth views on bilateral relations, defense and security policies, as well as international and regional issues that concern both, he said.
