Ministry bemoans US 'zero-sum game mindset'
China said on Wednesday that its coordination with Russia on international affairs serves as a stabilizing factor amid the current unstable international situation.
"The relationship between China and Russia is now at its best level in history. This is due to their overcoming a zero-sum game mindset," Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang said at a regular news conference in Beijing.
The remarks came after the US Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats told a Senate Intelligence Committee hearing on Tuesday that China and Russia are expanding cooperation with each other and through international bodies to shape global rules and standards to their benefit. And this presents a counterweight to the US and other Western countries.
