Fake doctor jailed six years for raping woman

A fake doctor in Chengdu who raped a female patient after injecting her with a sedative has been jailed for six years and four months and fined 4,000 yuan ($590).

Prosecutors accused Luo Ping of rape, robbery and using false identification documents. He was convicted this month by the Shuangliu District People's Court in Chengdu, Sichuan province, the website of Hongxing News reported on Monday.

The rape victim, surnamed Li, went to the hospital in Shuangliu district where Luo worked in May. Luo took her into an examination room and injected her with a sedative and then raped her after she lost consciousness.
