Lu Yi rises to VP of Audi in mainland

Audi China appointed Lu Yi (pictured) as executive vicepresident, effective on Jan 10. In his new position, Lu will be responsible for marketing and sales, and report directly to Thomas Owsianski, president of Audi China. Commenting on the appointment, Owsianski said Lu's joining will lay the foundation for Audi China's future development. He lauded Lu's rich industry experience, which he hoped will bring in new dynamic to the Audi brand. As an industry veteran, Lu has served numerous brands, including as president of Dongfeng Infinity, covering operations and strategy, as president for sales of Jaguar Land Rover in China, and as vice-president of BMW China.
