State Grid Corp elevates Kou Wei to chairman

State Grid Corp of China, a State-owned electricity-related services provider, named Kou Wei (pictured) as chairman and secretary of the Party committee. Kou took over from Shu Yinbiao. Kou's previous role of general manager was handled by his deputy Xin Baoan. Kou has been in the industry for over 30 years. Prior, he served China Huaneng Group Co Ltd as chief engineer and deputy general manager. He also served as chairman of its subsidiary Huaneng Lancang River Hydropower Inc and as secretary of its Party committee.
