Finnish president to visit China

Finnish President Sauli Niinisto will pay a state visit to China from Jan 13 to 16 at the invitation of President Xi Jinping, Foreign Ministry spokesman Lu Kang announced on Monday. In 2017, Xi made a state visit to Finland, the first by a Chinese head of state to the Nordic country in 22 years. During that visit, the two countries issued a joint declaration on establishing and promoting a future-oriented new type of cooperative partnership.
