Disabled to be invited to operas

Starting this year, around 3,000 disabled people across the country will be invited to watch classical operas, the China Foundation for Disabled Persons announced on Wednesday. The program was immediately supported by donations of 2 million yuan ($292,000). Zhang Yanhua, secretary-general of the foundation, said the program aims to foster humanitarianism, enrich the spiritual and cultural lives of disabled people and enhance their sense of fulfillment and happiness.
