Parents bludgeoned, 13-year-old captured

Police detained a 13-year-old boy, who was suspected of killing his parents, on Wednesday in Dali, Yunnan province. The killing happened in Hengnan county of Hengyang, Hunan province, on Monday. The boy fled, ThePaper reported. At about 6:40 pm on Monday, the boy, surnamed Luo, used a hammer to attack his mother, 45, and then his father, 51, in a family dispute, the Hengnan police said on Tuesday. His parents died of serious injuries. The boy ran away and used his father's ID card to buy a ticket to Yunnan.
