Tsunami leaves hundreds dead in Indonesia

A tsunami that hit Indonesia has killed at least 222 people, with hundreds more injured, officials said on Sunday.

Indonesia's disaster management agency said the death toll from the tsunami believed to be triggered by a volcanic eruption has climbed to 222, with 843 others injured and dozens missing.

Agency spokesman Sutopo Purwo Nugroho said those numbers may still rise since not all affected areas have been reached.
