Pochettino early favorite to take over

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino emerged as the early favorite to succeed Jose Mourinho, who was fired as coach of Manchester United on Tuesday.

Pochettino has been seen as a long-term target for United because of his attacking brand of soccer at Spurs, who he has taken to consecutive top-three finishes but has yet to win a trophy with.

The Argentine was offered at odds of 2/1 against - meaning one chance in three - within minutes of United announcing Mourinho's axing.
