Burglar is caught retrieving lost bag

A thief who burgled the home of a close friend was caught red-handed after returning to collect a handbag she had accidentally left at the scene. The victim, surnamed Qian, alerted police in Changzhou after receiving a call at work around 7 pm from a neighbor who noticed a light on in her home. When Qian returned to check, she was shocked to find her friend, surnamed Zhang. Earlier that night, Zhang had used a key to enter the apartment and steal 5,800 yuan ($845) in cash as well as jewelry, but had returned after realizing she had left her handbag behind. She later confessed to the police.
