Ecuador's president to start China visit

Ecuadorian President Lenin Moreno will pay a state visit to China from Tuesday at the invitation of President Xi Jinping, the Foreign Ministry said on Friday. During the three-day visit, Moreno will hold talks with Xi and meet Premier Li Keqiang and Chairman of the National People's Congress Standing Committee Li Zhanshu, ministry spokesman Geng Shuang said. He said the countries are expected to sign a memorandum of understanding on jointly building the Belt and Road Initiative.
