DPRK foreign minister to start China visit

Democratic People's Republic of Korea Foreign Minister Ri Yongho will visit China from Thursday to Saturday at the invitation of State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang announced on Tuesday. During his visit, Chinese leaders will meet with Ri, and Wang will exchange in-depth views with him on bilateral ties, the situation on the Korean Peninsula and other issues concerning both countries, Geng said. China believes Ri's visit will help further implement the consensus made by the top leaders of both countries, promote China-DPRK relations and strengthen communication and cooperation on the peninsula issue, Geng added.
