Ma Yongsheng to lead Sinopec's subsidiary

China Petroleum & Chemical Corp, a subsidiary of China's major petrochemical producer China Petrochemical Corp, or Sinopec Group, appointed Ma Yongsheng as president. He succeeds Dai Houliang who remains the company's chairman. The company said the reshuffle was due to Dai's new working arrangement, and the board welcomed Ma to the new position. Ma, 57, is an academic at the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Prior, Ma served as vicepresident of Sinopec Group. The board also named senior engineer Lei Dianwu and senior economist Chen Ge as senior vice-presidents, effective from Oct 30. Prior, Lei has served vice-president and chief economist of Sinopec.
