Former officials indicted, arrested

Feng Xinzhu, former vice-governor of Shaanxi province, has been indicted on a charge of taking bribes, the Supreme People's Procuratorate announced on Wednesday. A procuratorate in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, filed the case in Hangzhou Intermediate People's Court, according to the SPP. Feng was accused of taking advantage of his posts and using his power and status for the benefit of others, and accepting "especially huge amounts of money and gifts", the SPP said. In another development on Wednesday, Pu Bo, former vice-governor of Guizhou province, was formally arrested on charges of bribery, the SPP said.
