Chemicals firm hosts clean water research contest

By Liu Yukun in Beijing and Zhou Lihua in Wuhan | China Daily | Updated: 2018-11-29 07:35

China's dedicated efforts in tackling environmental issues have motivated chemical companies to focus on producing better high-quality products, and improving their charity efforts, according to a top industry executive.

"The country's promotion of environmental protection also benefits chemicals companies that have advanced technologies to guarantee green production, as companies less qualified are seeing little room for development," said Qian Mingcheng, president for Asia-Pacific at specialty chemicals company Lanxess AG.

Qian made the remarks at the award ceremony for the firm's water resources research project competition, held among college students.
