Pension fund nets 5.23% return in 2017

Total returns of China's basic pension fund stood at 8.78 billion yuan ($1.2 billion) in 2017, with an annual rate of return of 5.23 percent, according to data released by the National Council for Social Security Fund. This is the first time that the nation has disclosed the annual return of its basic pension fund investment, the Economic Information Daily said on Tuesday.
