Cabbie suspended for wearing mask

A taxi driver in Taizhou who became an online hit for applying a cosmetic mask while driving ended up being suspended by his employer. Another driver photographed Chen Yiqun, 25, applying the mask at a filling station around 6:30 pm on Oct 19. Netizens forwarded the photos but police launched an investigation and arrived at Chen's taxi company on Oct 22 to reprimand him. They said wearing a mask while driving was dangerous because it could cause an accident if it fell off and obscured his vision. The taxi company suspended Chen for three days.
