Progress seen in human rights

Organizers of a human rights education and research seminar on Thursday in Xi'an, Shaanxi province, said that China has made historic progress in the development of human rights during its 40 years of reform and opening-up, as it has built a relatively complete system of protection and paved a road suitable to the country's conditions. The event was co-organized by the China Society for Human Rights Studies and the Publicity Department of Shaanxi Committee of the Communist Party of China.
