At least 61 killed in city clashes
At least 61 combatants have been killed in clashes in Yemen's flashpoint Hodeidah, medics and a military source said on Sunday, and dozens of wounded were taken to hospitals outside the city. Another 9 loyalist fighters were reported killed by medics at a hospital in government-held Mokha, south of Hodeidah. A government military source confirmed the toll.

Ebola outbreak 'worst in history'
The current Ebola outbreak in the country is the most severe in the country's history with 319 confirmed and probable cases, the health ministry said late on Friday. The hemorrhagic fever is believed to have killed 198 people in North Kivu and Ituri provinces, where attacks by armed groups and community resistance to health officials have complicated the response. "The current epidemic is the worst in the history of DRC," Jessica Ilunga, a spokeswoman for the ministry said.

Neighbors disarm 22 guard posts
The two neighbors' militaries completed withdrawing troops and firearms from 22 front-line guard posts on Saturday as they continue to implement a wide-ranging agreement reached in September to reduce tensions across the world's most fortified border, a defense ministry official from Republic of Korea said. He said soldiers on Saturday completed disarming 11 guard posts on the southern side of the Demilitarized Zone and the two countries plan to destroy 20 of the structures by the end of November.

Florida orders vote recount
Florida will hold a machine recount of votes in its neck-and-neck races for the US Senate and governor, officials said on Saturday, setting up a dayslong wait for closure in two of the most closely-watched contests of the midterm elections. Results of the recount are due by 3 pm on Thursday for the two races. The drama echoed the 2000 presidential vote recount that took place in Florida, with both sides alleging foul play and sending teams of lawyers to the Sunshine State.
