Society: IT engineer wins big with Alipay
A 26-year-old IT engineer in Beijing has been named the winner of a lucky draw held by Alipay, beating odds of 3 million-to-1. Alipay, the mobile payment arm of Alibaba, posted on Sina Weibo on Sept 29 that it was launching a lucky draw, with the grand prize including phones, cosmetic products and deluxe accommodation and trips to countries in Asia, North America, Africa and Europe. Any user who forwarded the post had a chance to win. The lucky winner was announced on Sunday.
