Beijing to probe P2P companies

The Beijing Municipal Bureau of Financial Work launched an on-site inspection of local peer-to-peer online lenders on Thursday to verify their compliance records. The inspection will last two-and-a-half months and cover all P2P online lenders registered in Beijing who have received rectification notices from regulators and submitted self-inspection reports. The inspection also plans to detect the lenders' compliance with regulations, as stipulated in a nationwide unified list released in August.
