Dog poisoner jailed for three years

A man, surnamed Zou, has been jailed for three years for using rat poison to kill six pet dogs in a residential community in Shenyang in August last year. He pleaded guilty in court recently to the crime of putting hazardous substances in a public place, saying he had placed chicken livers contaminated with rat poison on a lawn in the community in retaliation after being bitten by a dog. Zou was detained by police in December.
