Challenges ahead to store, transport and distribute emergency groceries

Raising six children is a daunting task, especially when it comes to giving them nutritious food at an affordable price, which is why Ashley Bledsoe gets groceries at United Food Bank in Mesa, Arizona.

But now, United, like many of the nation's food banks, faces a daunting task: Trying to distribute new shipments from the US Department of Agriculture caused by US President Donald Trump's trade conflicts with a number of countries. Storage and transportation will be a challenge, food bank leaders say.
