DJSI names Abbot industry leader

The Dow Jones Sustainability Index, a global benchmark for corporate sustainability and social responsibility, has named Abbott as the leading company in its industry. Miles White, chairman and CEO of Abbott, said the company recognizes the success of the business depends upon a range of factors - economic, social and environmental - so it focuses on the needs deemed most important to global well-being. Abbott achieved the highest industry scores in economic and social performance in the DJSI.
