Medical support offered in Gansu

Real estate agency Lianjia Group plans to invest more than 10 million yuan ($1.46 million) to raise the level of medical services in western China. On Sept 12, the Lianjia Charity Foundation, Ai You Foundation and Jingyuan county government signed a program to help sick children in the county in Gansu province receive better medical treatment. An extremely impoverished county, Jingyuan is home to many children who suffer from a lack of sufficient public medical services, resulting in late diagnosis of diseases. Many families are not able to afford treatment for sick children. Under the program, local hospitals are collaborating with top medical institutions in leading cities including Shanghai to improve pediatric services in Jingyuan.
