Bees sting brave mom 230 times

A mother, surnamed Huang, who was stung 230 times by bees while protecting her two sons in Shiyan on Sept 1 has recovered after treatment in a hospital intensive care unit. Huang and her sons, ages 4 and 6, were attacked by a swarm of bees while waiting at a bus stop in the city's Yishui township. She told the children to hide in thick grass beside the road and then ran away, drawing the bees with her. In intense pain after being stung hundreds of times, she rolled on the ground before returning to her sons and calling the emergency services. One son was stung 36 times and the other 32. Huang and the boys were rushed to hospital, where she was treated for adverse reactions affecting her liver, kidneys and blood. After 48 hours, all three were in stable condition.
