Herbalife promotes health, nutrition awareness in China
Herbalife Nutrition, a Los Angeles-based nutrition company, is promoting healthy lifestyles and increasing public awareness of health and nutrition in China, according to its corporate social responsibility report released earlier this month.
The company said it strives to provide solutions for social problems, including poor nutrition, obesity and an aging population in China, its third-largest market after the United States and Mexico.
"We are committed to China. It is expected to become our largest market in the next few years and there is a great need for our products in China. We will invest more than $100 million this year to expand our business in the country," said Alan Hoffman, executive vice-president of global corporate affairs of Herbalife Nutrition.
