With the rapid economic development of the two countries in recent years, the resultant bilateral economic cooperation has been significant. The China-ASEAN Business& Investment Summit, CABIS, is important for ASEAN countries and China to promote business exchanges. While promoting bilateral trade and investment, it also further promotes cultural exchanges.

Vansy Vilignaphone, Consul General of Laos in Nanning, Guangxi

The achievements of the summit in the past 15 years have been the result of the joint efforts of various parties. We hope to establish a more open platform and channel for further implementation of the summit's results, to turn good ideas into reality, and to further strengthen cooperation in common language, laws and regulations, so as to promote more effective results for the benefit of the people of the region.

The summit has not only provided a good opportunity for exchanges between leaders and enterprises in the region, but also served as a platform for publishing and communicating views on trade cooperation between China and ASEAN. Like China, all ASEAN members want to develop a win-win relationship. I believe that the upcoming 15th CABIS will play an important role in promoting China-ASEAN cooperation.

CABIS has always been an important platform for China and ASEAN to conduct high-level dialogues and deepen economic and trade cooperation. Business circles on both sides have achieved close exchanges and practical cooperation through the summit. Guangxi is of great significance for Thailand and ASEAN to realize economic and trade interconnections with China.

China's investment in Vietnam has increased rapidly in recent years, most of which has come from Guangxi. This can not be separated from the role of CABIS. Looking ahead, China and Vietnam will have closer economic, trade and investment relations. Vietnam and Guangxi will also enjoy sustained and rapid development. I hope this year's summit will continue to provide impetus for development.

Hoang Ngoc Vinh, Consul General of Vietnam in Nanning, Guangxi

The Philippines has always attached importance to the CABIS, which provides an opportunity for our country's economic management people and private business leaders to meet and negotiate with other ASEAN members and China's industry leaders.

The Philippines has and will continue to support close ties between China and ASEAN in the future.

What the consuls general said:

Marshall Louis M. Alferez, Consul General of Philippines in Guangzhou, Guangdong province

I believe CABIS will be the impetus for relations between two countries to be developed further. Through CABIS, there will be more discussions as well as a confidence-building process between business people from Indonesia and China, as well as business people from ASEAN countries coming to China. With the 15th anniversary of CABIS, I believe there will be a higher role for CABIS in developing and deepening cooperation between Indonesia and China.

What the consuls general said:

Pak Gustanto, Consul General of Indonesia in Guangzhou, Guangdong province

The economic and trade cooperation between Singapore and China is robust. CABIS has played an active role in promoting the establishment of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area and the upgrading of the FTA, as well as the two-way trade and investment between China and Singapore.

This year marks the 15th anniversary of the summit. Singapore hopes that the summit will continue to serve as a bridge and platform to push bilateral economic and trade relations to a higher level.
