More subsidies for unconventional gas

The State Council is planning to extend subsidies for unconventional natural gas production and will push the gasification drive in a measured manner in accordance with demand. It said natural gas output in the country is expected to reach 200 billion cubic meters by 2020. The target level will be about 36 percent higher than the output rate in 2017. Without giving further details, the State Council said it will also consider extending subsidies for unconventional gas between 2021 and 2025, and said the subsidies will also cover tight gas.
