Guizhou eyes tea export glory

Southwest China's Guizhou province is looking to be the largest tea exporter in China by 2020 with an annual export quota of 50,000 metric tons. With its high altitude, low latitude, less sunshine and pollution, Guizhou already had the largest tea plantation area of 478,000 hectares by the end of 2017. The provincial agricultural commission said it will support local tea companies to expand exports to overseas markets like the United States, Europe, Japan, South Korea, and the Middle East.
