Qingdao beer fest popular with tourists
The 28th Qingdao International Beer Festival, the largest beer festival in China, had received 6.2 million tourists by the time it closed on Sunday. The festival, held in the coastal city of Qingdao, birthplace of Tsingtao beer in Shandong province, gathered 200 beer brands from more than 30 countries and regions and offered more than 1,300 types of beer, according to the organizer. The festival lasted 38 days - longer than any previous event since it was inaugurated in 1991 - to accommodate more tourists.
