Dying man drives coach to safety

A bus driver, surnamed Chen, who experienced severe chest pain while driving on an expressway in Fuzhou on Aug 13 died shortly after driving his 12 passengers to safety. Chen phoned colleagues for help and drove for 30 minutes along the Yongchun-Fuzhou expressway before stopping the bus at a service station, which was safer than stopping on the side of the road. Chen, about 50, collapsed after getting off the bus, and an ambulance crew was unable to revive him. He had been a driver for more than two decades.
