Regional rivals square off in Tokyo preview

What happened at the Asian Games has given fans worldwide a preview of what to expect when China and Japan square off in the pool at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Both teams pocketed 19 swimming golds in Jakarta, but Japan's total of 52 medals in the pool edged China's 50.

"The overall performance is equal to our expectations before we came to the Asian Games," said China's swimming team leader Cheng Hao.
