Food, drug official under investigation

Wang Lifeng, former director of the China Food and Drug Administration's department of cosmetics registration management, is suspected of serious violations of the law and is the subject of disciplinary review and investigation, according to a statement by the State Administration for Market Regulation on Thursday. The market regulatory administration oversees the food and drug administration, following a reshuffle this year.
