Datong supports planting project

Datong Insurance Sales and Services Co Ltd, a major insurance brokerage, announced on July 5 it will donate 5 million yuan ($731,000) to support a long yellow day lily planting project in Nantaoxu in Hebei province. The poverty-stricken area has 43 families in need of financial support. Jiang Ming, head of Datong, said that the company expects the planting project to generate long-term benefits by offering employment for local residents.
