China Tower seeks new opportunities

Tie-up with postal giant offers two firms broader prospects for growth

China Tower Corp, a mobile communication infrastructure company that runs almost all of the country's telecom towers, signed a strategic partnership with China Post Group Corp on Monday, as the two State-owned enterprises seek to reinvigorate their businesses by sharing resources.

The cooperation came as China Tower aims to expand into new business areas to reduce its heavy reliance on telecom carriers. China Post is also seeking new growth momentum after its traditional postal and delivery services encounter challenges.
