Truck runs over puppy rescuer

A woman rescuing an injured dog was run over by a truck in a busy street in Wuxi recently. Footage posted online showed the woman rushing into the middle of the street to rescue the puppy, which had been hit by a vehicle and was attempting to crawl across the street as vehicles and motorbikes swerved around it. A rapidly moving truck smashed into the middle-aged woman while she was holding the dog, knocking them over and running over her legs. The truck driver then drove away. The woman was sent to the hospital, and the dog was sent to an animal rescue center.
