Man falls into river, drifts 30 km

A drunken 23-year-old man who fell into the Yangtze River in Wuhan on Aug 6 was rescued after floating 30 kilometers downstream. The man, surnamed Li and from Shanxi province, was spotted floating in the river, holding a bag, at Yangluo port around 6:30 am and was rescued by marine personnel. Li said he had fallen off the Wuhan Yangtze Bridge around 3 am after drinking half a liter of liquor. A medical examination found Li had a slight lung infection as the result of his prolonged immersion.
