Bolivian minister touts discipline from Shaolin

China Daily | Updated: 2018-08-08 07:45

LA PAZ, Bolivia - The world would be a better place if more people studied the way of life of China's Shaolin warriors, Bolivia's Foreign Affairs Minister Fernando Huanacuni has said.

An accomplished martial arts practitioner who has won several medals in international competition, Huanacuni spent three years doing just that.

"In 1999, I traveled to China to join the Shaolin Temple, where I was a member for three years," Huanacuni said during a recent talk at the International Book Fair in Bolivia's capital city.
